Florida was FUN! I went in Aug/Sept and thought I was crazy for going
during the summer, but since the last 2 summers here in MO were
OUTRAGEOUSLY hot and with time spent in Cali during past Julys, I actually enjoyed the heat!
Odd I know! I even got a good
tan.... and an awesome sunburn on my feet! Oh the pain that caused! I
didn't know my poor feet would burn!
I couldn't wear my flip
flops for 5 days! Anyway, enough of me bemoaning the loss of showing
off my cute toes
and on to what fun I had. My Grandma and I
went shopping, walked the beaches I grew up on, and talked!
I
enjoy the time I have with her. At one store the clerk thought we were
Mother/Daughter, and was shocked that it was Grandma/Granddaughter!
lol, Grandma was very pleased!
I introduced my Grandparents to
Starbucks, and made my Grandma a fan of the Java Chip Frap!
Hehehe. Grandpaw promised me 2 baseball games if I did some work for
him, so I gladly complied!
I went to game 2 of a series against
the Baltimore Orioles(which we swept them out of that series! Whoo! Ben
Zobrist got his first Grand Slam that series!) and there made BJ Upton
my favorite player. What can I say, Evan Longoria was out on the
injured list.... how did I know he was the cute one?!?
HAHAHA! Never mind! LOL
ANYWAY! Then we went to game 2
against the Yankees and sitting among quite a few Yankee fans, made my
self known with cow bell and yelling! hehe, I had fun. That game we
were sitting right by the ray tank and two rows up from outfield! BJ
Upton was right out there in center field! Grandma said I should stand
up and call to him to throw me the ball in between innings, because I
was so cute how could he not throw it to me?! haha! I love my Grandma!
(No I didn't btw...
yeah,
I'm a chicken!) It was a fun game even tho we lost. I was so much a Ray
fan.... in all blue, even my toes were blue! hehe, anyway. :blushing:
Other than that..... I found 2 shark teeth at Caspersen beach, 12 whole
sand dollars at Lido beach, multitudes of jelly fish at Coquina Beach.
Went on a Murder Mystery Dinner Train ride. Toured the E-One Fire
Engine plant, I even got a special souvenir from the tour guide!
And went to see my Aunt and Uncle in Titusville, there we
watched cruise ships leave Port Canaveral, waded in the Atlantic Ocean
and I found out that my Aunt sent my name in to NASA to go on a
computer chip that will be going to the Moon!!! Seriously, my name in
one in a million going to the Moon!!!
How cool is that!?!?!?! I am excited!
